Helicopter Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering near a well-attended southern California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm trees as onlookers watched.
Footage posted on social media capture the aircraft commencing to spiral near Huntington Beach then plunging near the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a staircase adjacent to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Information
Emergency responders stated five people were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the road were injured. Details on their wounds were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
